### What is GenomesDAO GENE?

GenomesDAO (GENE) is a private and secure DNA database that prioritises user control over their genomic data. Utilising AMD SEV-ES Vault and blockchain technology, GenomesDAO enables users to securely store and manage their DNA data. The $GENE token serves as a utility token within this ecosystem, facilitating queries by pharmaceutical companies and research organisations.

### How does GenomesDAO GENE work?

GenomesDAO utilises AMD's SEV-ES Vault for secure storage, creating encrypted 'vaults' for user DNA data. This, coupled with blockchain technology, ensures a transparent and immutable audit trail of access to genomic data. GENE tokens enable the querying of DNA vaults, and the platform employs smart contracts to manage these operations. The use of Ethereum blockchain implies a potential reliance on Proof of Stake (PoS) for consensus.

### What are the potential use cases for GenomesDAO GENE?

The potential use cases for GenomesDAO GENE include creating secure, user-owned genomic databases that pharmaceutical companies and research organisations can query. It empowers individuals to explore their genetic data for insights, aiding advancements in personalised medicine and genetic research. In biotechnology, the secure monetisation of genomic data is a key innovation, with partnerships enhancing its applications.

### What is the history of GenomesDAO GENE?

Founded in London in 2018, GenomesDAO aims to revolutionise genomic data collection and use. Noteworthy milestones include winning the Deloitte Tech Fast 50 Challenge Award in 2022 and securing investments from Pantera Capital and Modular Capital in 2024 to enhance its offerings. The platform's evolution includes a partnership with AMD for secure storage technology and the development of Virtual Labs for data analysis and interpretation.
