PowerLedger (POWR)

Launched in 2016, Powerledger is a blockchain platform built to tackle the inefficiencies of the energy system. By facilitating peer-to-peer (P2P) solar trading, Powerledger enables users to trade excess solar power without intermediaries. This P2P electricity grid maximises the ROI of individual buildings and increases energy efficiency. Also built into the platform is a digital marketplace for exchanging carbon and renewable energy credits and a digital data management system for energy assets.
