TRU is the native token of the TrueFi protocol and allows holders to have a say over which borrowers are credible. Holders of TRU tokens earn interest on the assets they stake in the lending pools and help govern the development of a permissionless credit system. Lenders are incentivised to implement a rigorous approval process for borrowers because the uncollateralised nature of the loans presents a high risk for the lenders.
