What is BCH?

Bitcoin Cash is a cryptocurrency that is a forked version of Bitcoin. It was initially a spin-off from Bitcoin in 2017, but was once again split in 2018. This means that in 2017, Bitcoin was split into Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. In 2018, Bitcoin Cash was further split into Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV. These days, when people mention Bitcoin Cash, they are referring to the split product since the 2018 split. Bitcoin Cash is aimed at providing faster transaction speeds by increasing the block-size of Bitcoin, therefore making it more viable as a medium of exchange. Many view Bitcoin Cash as a 'software upgrade' of Bitcoin. The reason that Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash exist concurrently is because not everyone in the crypto community agrees with this upgrade.
