What is MIR?

MIR is the native token of the Mirror protocol, a decentralised network that allows users to issue synthetic assets, represented in the form of a token that encompass the ability to track prices of real world assets that the token represents, such as listed equities on a stock exchange. MIR tokens allow users to expose themselves to the price of the underlying assets, without requiring the user to own the asset itself. The Mirror protocol is built on top of the Terra network. Its synthetic assets (referred to as mAssets) are also available on the Binance Smart Chain and the Ethereum network. The MIR token enables holders of the token to vote on changes to the protocol. MIR is also distributed as a reward to users who provide mAsset liquidity to Automated Market Makers (AMMs).
