What is RGT?

Rari Capital is a decentralised finance (DeFi) protocol that facilitates peer to peer lending and borrowing. Rari Capital operates like a bank but offers better rates than conventional banks as there is no central authority trying to maximise profit. Holders of Rari Capital’s native token Rari Governance Token (RGT) enjoy a reduction in transaction fees and participation in voting on the direction of the protocol. The Rari ecosystem is governed by the community-run decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) Rari Capital DAO. The DAO community members vote on proposals which contribute the Rari ecosystem, and in turn grant ecosystem contributors funding to fulfil their proposals.
