Stellar is an open-source protocol supported by the Stellar Development Foundation. It has a native cryptocurrency of the same name, which is later called Lumens or XLM. It aims to provide cross-border transactions between any pair of currencies, promoting financial inclusion for the unbanked. Stellar had a number of real world applications, including integration with microfinance institutions and remittance companies.
