What is OXT?

OXT is the native token of the Orchid network. Orchid is a decentralised marketplace for anonymous communications. Orchid achieves this through providing VPN services on the said marketplace. Orchid’s VPN can be accessed through the Orchid client which is available on desktop or mobile. This allows users to access VPN services with no central intermediary and ensure true privacy when browsing as there is no central company which may be logging an user's browsing history. OXT is used to provide a staking-advertising mechanism that incentivises operators to benefit the network. This is achieved by staking OXT to become a node operator. OXT is also how users pay for their use of the VPN services. Orchid’s bandwidth marketplace allows users to purchase VPN services in a completely decentralised way.
