What is POLS?

Polkastarter is a decentralised finance (DeFi) platform which aims to help launch cryptocurrency projects through crowd-funding and participation in initial coin offerings (ICOs), and initial decentralised exchange offerings (IDOs). Polkastarter helps new projects raise capital across a range of popular blockchains including Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Kusuma, Ethereum, Polkadot and Solana. To enter into an ICO or IDO opportunity users’ are selected via lottery to receive an invitation to participate. The proportion of lottery tickets allotted to a user is dependent on the volume of Polkastater’s native token, POLS, that is staked by the user. Once selected, users can contribute up to a capped amount of capital into the new project. A combination of the lottery and capped investment mechanism ensures that participation in IDO and ICOs are fair and decentralised, ensuring that no one investor has excessive control over a new project.
