What is TUSD?

TrueUSD (TUSD) is a stablecoin on the Ethereum Chain issued by the company Trust Token. Pegged to $1 USD through a 1:1 USD reserve backing, TUSD receives public on-chain attestations, where an independent third party attests to the exact amount of USD backing that exists. As such, TUSD claims to be the first regulated stablecoin fully backed by the US dollar. Currently, TUSD’s USD backing is attested by Armanino an one of the biggest US accounting firms.
