What is CertiK (CTK)?

CertiK is a blockchain security firm that aims to reduce crypto and decentralised finance (DeFi) risks. CertiK claims to provide verification for the most robust smart contract security in the industry and leverages global cyber-security experts to conduct penetration testing and identify hacking susceptibility. CertiK also publishes a security-focused ranking platform to analyse the performance of blockchain protocols and DeFi projects in terms of vulnerabilities.

CTK is the CertiK’s native token and can be used to pay transaction fees, perform governance actions, and operate the platform’s Security Oracle and CertiKShield system. The Security Oracle is a decentralised network of operators that assess the security of smart contracts, while CertiKShield provides reimbursement for tokens that are lost or stolen in security breaches.
