What is GLM?
GLM is the native token of the Golem Network, a decentralised network that allows users to distribute redundant computing power to those who are in need of it. Users of the Golem Network can build a variety of applications, request computational resources and/or offer their idle systems in exchange for GLM. Therefore, individuals possessing a high-end computing system are now able to profit and assist other users by renting out their GPU/CPU cycles for a variety of tasks including: machine learning, video transcoding and CGI rendering. Computing power that would have once sat idle can now be monetised on the Golem Network. GLM is an ERC-20 (Ethereum-based) token and the utility token used to access the Golem Network, which aims to compete with traditional centralised cloud services like Amazon Web Services.
