What is CHR?

CHR is the Chromia platform's native token that is designed to empower developers, consumers, and investors in a partnership that is mutually beneficial. It serves as the primary currency in the Chromia economy. That’s because dApps can collect CHR as fees or even use it as a reserve that can help anchor their native tokens. CHR is utilised to ensure that suppliers get a good stake in the Chromia’s ecosystem, reducing the motivation to collide. Chromia is a decentralised application scaling platform that seeks to tackle the problem (dApps). The platform consists of a blockchain formed by a network of nodes, each with its own relational database. CHR is used to pay transaction fees and as a block reward. From August 2018 to May 2019, it raised US$11.70 million through private and public token sales.
