What is GHST?

Aavegotchi is an in-browser game that integrates non fungible tokens (NFTs) into the world of decentralised finance (DeFi). Built on the Aave Protocol, players in the game stake their Aavegotchi NFT to earn staking rewards via the Aave platform. These NFTs are purchased with Aavegotchi’s GHST token and act as collateral which can be withdrawn at any time. Players can increase the levels, and the earning potential, of their Aavegotchi NFTs by fulfilling certain actions within the game. GHST is the utility token of the Aavegotchi game and is used to purchase NFTs from the marketplace. Although GHST can be staked, it does not generate token yield, and instead earns raffle tickets to win certain Aavegotchi NFTs.
