What is RIF?

The RSK Infrastructure Framework (RIF) is a decentralised set of infrastructure protocols that use smart contracts built on top of the Bitcoin network. This is said to enable easier, faster and more scalable development of dApps. The RIF token is an ERC-677 utility token which users can use the services and dApps built using the RSK architecture. The RIF token can be used by dApp developers using the RSK architecture to pay network fees associated with using the RSK network. The token can also be used as staked collateral when developers create various assets in the RIF DeFi ecosystem, such as RBTC.
