What is ONG?

Ontology is a digital identity solution designed to bring regulatory compliance to Web3 applications whilst maintaining users’ privacy. Medical records, Know-Your-Customer information and financial records, are all examples of sensitive, user-specific information that is currently shared via centralized systems which are attractive targets for hackers and susceptible to data breaches. With Ontology’s private blockchain, enterprises can build their own solutions where sensitive user-centric data can be moved and shared in a private and secure way, across a decentralised network. Ontology’s native token, Ontology Gas (ONG) is used to pay for transaction fees, and distribute community incentives for users of the Ontology network.
